This Privacy Policy explains how plattr (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected via plattr-recipes.com and the plattr app.
plattr is operated by Job van der Stoel, an individual based in the Netherlands. Contact: hello@plattr-recipes.com.
When you import a recipe from a URL, photo, or pasted text, that content is sent to Google's Gemini API to extract the structured recipe. Google processes it under its Gemini API terms, and this processing may take place outside the EU. Don't include personal data in import submissions that you wouldn't want processed this way.
Data is stored in Supabase hosted in the EU (Ireland). The website and app are served via Vercel.
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or until the waitlist is closed and migrated to product accounts, whichever is sooner. You can ask for deletion at any time.
App account data is kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all its data at any time from within the app (settings → delete account); deletion is processed immediately and also removes any waitlist entry under the same email; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. Recipes you shared that friends already saved a copy of survive as their copies, attributed to your handle at the time of saving.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@plattr-recipes.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
The waitlist page does not set tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect personal data. We also use Vercel Speed Insights, which collects anonymized page-performance metrics (e.g. load time) and no personal data.
You can report objectionable content and block users from within the app. Reports go to hello@plattr-recipes.com; we aim to review them within 24 hours.
If we materially change this policy, we will update the date above and notify subscribers by email.
